Menu Plan Oct. 9-15

Better Late Than never! :-)

Sunday -  Taco Soup, cornbread muffins

Monday - Pork Loin (recipe to come if it turns out well!), peas & carrots, wild rice, cinnamon apples

Tuesday -  Dinner on the Fly - I have an afternoon meeting at the elementary school and my oldest has gymnastics from 6:00-7:30, so I will probably pop in a frozen pizza or we will grab a sandwich on the way.  Might not be the healthiest plan, but at least I have a plan, right?!?

Wednesday -  Dinner at church

Thursday - BBQ chicken, slaw, baked beans, fruit cocktail

Friday -  Lasagna, salad

Saturday -  Roast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits (You are not having deja vu.  I planned this meal for last Saturday, but we ended up going to a cookout instead.  The roast was already in the freezer, so I just left it there and pushed this meal back a week!)

Tip of the Week:  Involve your family in the menu planning.  Ask the hubby and the kids what meals they would like to have in the coming week.  This is helpful in three ways.  1)  It takes out some of the guesswork for you.  Let's say they request spaghetti and tacos.  That's two meals that you just put into the plan and don't really have to think about!  2) It teaches them that there is some planning and preparation that goes into feeding a family.  Meals son't just magically appear!  3)  It gives them a little control and input into what they have to eat.  In my opinion, if they requested it, then they better eat it - no complaining allowed!
