A Mother Of All Meltdowns Mother's Day Extravaganza

I am so excited today to tell you about something HUGE!!!  Yesterday, the authors of The Mother Of All Meltdowns kicked off a Mother's Day Extravaganza!!!

As part of this Mother’s Day Extravaganza, we have teamed up with some incredible brands to bring you the No Mother Is Perfect…But Every Mother Is Unique giveaway. Our partners include The Oaks at Ojai,CarilohaWicker CentralMetropolis Coffee CompanyWind & Fire JewelryChuao ChocolatierGlobal Rose, and Anew Riesling.  Click the image below to see the amazing prize packages and enter to win in between now and May 11.

Since we released in October 2013, we have gotten wonderful reviews and feedback.  There has been one overwhelming common thread among all of the feedback we received - Mothers felt relieved to read about other moms' not-so-great moments. Most of the time, mothers don't openly talk about these moments because it can be scary and embarrassing.  We wanted to give moms a safe place to share their frustrations, failures, and - meltdowns!  We have created a new forum called No Mother Is Perfect!  It is an online community where moms can vent, laugh, and share openly with one another.  Some of the groups that have already are Whine, Whine, Wine!, Everyday Moms are Juggling, and Extreme Motherhood Fatigue just to name a few.  Come join in the conversations!

Also on the site, you will see a list of blogs that will be participating in our second The Mother of All Meltdowns blog tour!  It's going to be phenomenal!

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11th 2014 and we want moms everywhere to accept the meltdowns, stop chasing perfection, and embrace their uniquity.  Come join the community and enter to win one of the awesome prize packages!
Join us for a #NoMotherIsPerfect Twitter Kickoff Party on April 3, 2014 at 1:00 ET.  We'll be giving away three copies of the book!  Please use the hashtags #NoMotherIsPerfect #EmbraceUniquity when tweeting, posting, or sharing.
**The Mother of All Meltdowns is on sale for just $.99 now through Mother's Day on Amazon!**

It was an awesome book! I read it so early in my blogging days and reviewed it. I have gotten to know so many of the authors better since then which makes it that much more special! Great giveaway :)

Our Sundays are soccer here and must admit, I cringe at the early games, because like you I am still in weekend mode and find it hard to get everyone, including myself out the door on time. That said, I liked your advice here and I may need to try to employ it more, because you are so right, it so isn't them, but me, too.

We always struggle with the early mornings. We could stand to be a little more prepared ahead of time. But a lot of the time, it is completely me because I am not organized!

I very much dislike Sundays because the next day is Monday. I've always hated them passionately. I don't know what it is about moms, but my kids are completely different when my wife isn't around either. They miss her or something and they behave better maybe thinking that she's never coming back? Lol, I don't know.

Thanks, Janine! We do soccer on Saturdays, but I hat the early games, too.

I tyr to be organized, Michelle, but sometimes I'm so tired the night before that I just don't do it. Then I pay for it the next morning!

It is funny, isn't it, how they are different when mom is gone?? I'll go with your theory - they just miss me so much they are too sad to misbehave. :-)

Early mornings are my kryptonite. And of course, my husband does them in style when he happens to be staying home or going into work late. It's been a juggling act lately with the puppy and the fact that Des has to come with us! Although I often leave him in his pajamas and just run Scarlet into school. Wait until they're in two different schools - it will happen!

Yes! Last year was the only year all three of my girls would be at the same school - elementary school. This year, my oldest moved up to middle school and they will never all three be in the same school again. Mornings are insane!

Great post! Glad you figured things out and were able to handle it so well. My kids were always more well behaved for ME than for Dad, though....mostly because they knew/know I mean what I say and will follow through. :)

I noticed children are very susceptible to our attitudes as parents. My kids are always their worst when I'm sick, especially migraine days. While I sometimes think they are just taking advantage of my weakness, I think a lot of it too is that I don't feel good. I don't feel like doing anything. And neither do they except their "I don't feel like it" is tolerating each other. Sharing. Grabbing something they want like a juice or a blanket. Anyway, deep stuff in this post. I'm swallowing some pills too now thanks to your post. I'm embarrassed to say it, but you know, my kids don't listen to me. I'm just realizing just now that that might be because I don't really listen to them. You might of just solved one of my biggest issues. Thank you.
