I actually kind of love soup, but don't make it very often. My husband is a "meat and potatoes" kind of guy and tends to think that soup alone is not a complete meal. Yes, I could make it when he is traveling, but it is difficult to please a 12 old vegetarian, a hungry 9 year old, and a super picky 7 year old with a recipe that requires you to throw everything into a pot together. I my opinion, though, nothing is better than a bowl of great soup on a chilly evening. It's even better when it can be made in the crock pot! So, here are 15 crock pot soups from my Pinterest board that I really hope to make sometime before the weather turns warm again!
This is actually my own recipe and my kids love it! I just leave out the ground beef for my vegetarian. Top it with some cheese, sour cream, and tortilla chips - you've got a taco in a bowl!
This one is similar to the Taco soup, but with chicken, obviously. It also uses Enchilada sauce instead of canned tomatoes.
This one looks so easy and so tasty! I think even my girls would eat it!!
A classic that has to be included on any list of soups, right?
I am not a fan of mushrooms, but otherwise, this one look delicious and sinfully creamy.
Another classic that uses simple ingredients.
Some vegetable beef recipes are kind of complicated, but this one uses ingredients you probably have in your pantry an freezer right now.
There is a local restaurant that used to make a corn chowder my middle daughter loved, but, sadly, the restaurant has gone out of business. This one may not be exactly the same, but it looks pretty darn close!
An obvious twist on an old standby, this would be a nice change from the ordinary coupled with a fancy kind of grilled cheese sandwich.
My 9 year old is a cheeseburger fanatic. If there is a cheeseburger on the menu, she will order it. I bet she would love this one!
If you have a vegetarian in the crowd, this on is a must in your repertoire.
This soup looks fantastic. (And, isn't that just about the cutest food blog title you have ever seen?) Spinach, tomatoes, sausage, pasta, and cream cheese - how could you go wrong? Plus, it only requires 6 ingredients!
Another local restaurant has a fantastic chicken and wild rice soup, but it is across town and we don't go there very often. I have been searching for a similar, but simple, recipe and I think this one might just be it!
I usually buy this variety of canned soup because it is lower calorie than the creamy stuff. However, this version looks so much better than canned.
This one doesn't look very "soupy," but there's the word SOUP in the title and it's lasagna, so I'm including it! (You can add more broth or less pasta if you like more liquid.)
BONUS:
Some people don't quite consider chili a soup. However, if you are not one of those people - or even if you are, but you still like chili - check out my recipe for Crock Pot White Chicken Chili!!
What are your favorite cold weather soups? Will you be trying any of these?

Wonderful list and got to tell you not only is your crockpot white chili repinned pretty much daily still, but have made it here too and can see why! 😉
Mmmm, I am sick and soup sounds sooooo good! I am sharing this on my Facebook today!
Thanks Janine! That actually is my most viewed post of all time! So glad yo like it!
Thanks for sharing and I hope you feel better soon!
It's weird because I never liked/ate/thought about soup until the last few years. Now I can't get enough!
One of my favorite things to do with Des is to split broccoli/cheese soup at the local farm. Yum!
I love soup, but I have trouble finding ones everyone likes. I may give a few of these a try, and I'm definitely pinning. Thanks Lisa!
YUM! pinned this to my food board! :)
Same here, but I love it now. Just wish my family was more on board with it.
There are several here that I want to try (obviously?), but not sure which ones my family will will be up for!
Thanks, Kristi!
We love soups! Especially my 3 yo. She needs soup every single meal. Seriously, this kid. Pinning!
