Before I had my own children, I taught special needs preschoolers. That was a much more educational experience for me than it was for any of the kids I taught. I still remember their names and faces and wonder where they are now.
I always wanted to be a stay at home mom, but quickly found out that reality was not going to be the June Cleaver-ish picture I had in mind. Now, I have three daughters who are 13, 11, and 8. I have made it through the toddler tantrum phase and their first days of school. We are just beginning our journey into the hormone filled mood swings of the tween and teen years.
I love being a mom and my girls are my world, but it definitely has some good days and some not so good days.
I started this blog in 2011 as a way to preserve memories for my family. Since then, it has grown and become something even more. I love that I have something to call my own and I love the connections blogging has allowed me to make with others. It is my outlet to share what I have learned about motherhood, what I struggle with in motherhood, and to foster my love of writing.
