Tuesday Ten - Things I'm Looking Forward to This Summer
This is my girls' last week of school. The year has just flown by. As the girls get older, each year gets busier and busier. This year, I am more than ready for summer vacation, so I thought I would make this Tuesday Ten all about Summer Vacation!!
Sounds like you have a fun summer planned! We are headed to Blowing Rock in a couple weeks! :) I definitely do not miss packing lunches either...it gets so old! Stopping by from SITS.-Ashley
I will definitely not miss packing lunches and running late to preschool dropoff. I have a feeling the luxury of being late will be lost once we get to grade school but for now it's been ok. I look forward to the beach and summer travel. I love summer so much it's almost a miracle that I survive New England winters every year..
We still have four more weeks of school!!! FOUR!!! It's so awful and so mean that it makes me sad just thinking about it. But whenever summer does begin, I'll be so happy about the lack of schedule and no longer making lunches.
Aww, Karen! I'm am definitely not there yet as my oldest is only 10, but I'm sure that must be hard. I hope you can still enjoy your summer and enjoy spending time with your son before he heads off to college!
I LOVE that list! I am jealous of a few things, as I am still teaching a few classes each week this summer and we have camp and childcare a few days each week, thus extending our harried morning rush into the summer, complete with lunch packing. :( Oh, well, we will have at least 4 days a week that are relaxing, which is better than none! I love the lazy pace of summer, love going up to the mountains (in CO!) and think that your beach vaca with the family sounds like heaven. Sigh. And the thunderstorms. OK, that post put me in a great mood- thanks! :D
The beach and the pool sound like they'd be my favourite things on your list. I'm looking forward to getting a job and being a normal, responsible, wage-earning adult again rather than a skivey student.
Stopping by from the Tattler Hop! Love this list. A week at the beach sounds fabulous. I'm looking forward to finishing my book proposal ... and getting my ass kicked at Stratego by my 7 yr old! -- Norine of Science of Parenthood
I love your ten things. We have recently started spending a week at the beach each summer but this was the first year we took my in-laws with us. I was really nervous about having them go but it turned out to be real blessing. I hope we can turn it into a yearly thing with them.
I also love you idea about a summer bucket list. I think we may just have to do that.
