Sunday Supper - BBQ Chicken

For today's Sunday Supper, I'm sharing a dish that is one of my "go-to" dinners.  It is soooooooo easy and it only requires 2 ingredients!!!  I make this at least a couple times a month.  Everyone likes it and I always have it on hand.

Easy BBQ Chicken

You only need two things:

Chicken
(I use boneless skinless breasts.)

 Your favorite BBQ sauce
(This is the one we like.)

All you do is put the chicken in a baking dish, pour the BBQ on top, and cover with foil.
Pop it in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Add a couple sides and DONE!  Like I said, could not be easier.

(Several months ago when I wrote this post, my blog friend Stephanie shared that she does this in the crock pot, then shreds the chicken to make sandwiches.  I've since done it that way, too, and it's great- especially if you add some slaw or cheddar chess melted on top!  Just put the chicken in the crock pot, pour BBQ sauce over it, and cook on low for about 6 hours.)

There you have it - the easiest dinner recipe ever!!

What are some of your quick and easy "go to" meals???

  6. I like easy. I like two ingredients. And I actually love BBQ chicken year round. In the winter, it just reminds me of summer. Is that wrong??

  7. I do that in the crockpot, too. Sometimes I throw in a whole chicken with BBQ sauce and then pull it off the bones after it cooks all day - so good!!

  10. My go-to easy dinners are pasta with jarred sauce, homemade mac and cheese and something we call veggie pasta but is really just pasta, cheese, any and every vegetable I can find in my fridge and cut up. Sometimes I mix things up by substituting quinoa for the pasta... I'm a wild woman, I know!

  11. Great idea! Whole is probably more economical than the boneless breasts, too.

  12. Hmm . . never heard of it with cranberry sauce! I bet that give it a little extra tang.

  13. You are wild! I have actually never tried quinoa and if I added random veggies to pasta, my kids would not eat it! :-)

My go-to is chicken breasts with honey and rosemary. Almost the same recipe but instead of bbq, it's honey and rosemary. You have to use olive oil too and add the honey later, but YUMMMMM. Great share, Lisa!

  15. You know I have pretty much always had BBQ chicken cooked on the grill. About a month ago or so, I realized I had an abundance of chicken breasts as well as BBQ sauce (and SBR of course!!). So I decided to bake it since it was so cold. It turned out awesome!! So tender and good. In fact, I have all the ingredients….might need to whip that up again soon. My favorite and most easiest recipe (2 ingredients) that everyone hands down LOVES in my house is chicken and zesty italian dressing. Put the frozen chicken breasts in the crock pot and dump a bottle of zesty italian on it. Let it cook all day and flip periodically. Soooooooo easy and delicious!!!
