Anew Riesling Review

Have you heard about the new No Mother is Perfect forum from the authors of The Mother OF All Meltdowns have started?

What about the HUMONGOUS Mother's Day Extravaganza giveaway we have happening right now???  It seriously is an incredible giveaway with some fabulous prize packages including a trip for two to a destination spa!  Click the image below to enter~

One of the sponsors of our giveaway is Anew Riesling and I was one of the lucky ones who got to try it out!

Now, I am not a wine connoisseur.  When I do drink wine, I prefer something white, light, and sweet, rather than a heavy, robust red.  Anew Riesling fit the bill perfectly.  It is crisp and refreshing with hints of peach, citrus, and a little spice.  I had it with some sea bass my husband had grilled and it was a wonderful pairing.  The Anew website also suggests pairing it with Asian dishes or pasta with light sauces.

The 2012 Anew riesling was sourced from vineyard all over the state of Washington, which is one of the world's most highly acclaimed Riesling regions.  The blend is almost entirely Riesling (88%) with a touch of Gewürztraminer (10%) and Muscat (2%).  As the result of an excellent growing season in 2012, the wine has a fabulous purity of fruit and a nice balance of acidity.

Speaking of balance, the company's tag line is "A refreshing wine for those seeking BALANCE in their life."  Pretty much everyone I know could use a little more of that elusive balance in their lives, so the next time you are trying to decide which wine to take home, grab a bottle of Anew Riesling and you will not be disappointed!

To find out more about the wine and to see where the wine is available near you, visit the company's webiste.   There, you can also view a downloadable fact sheet.  You can also follow them on Facebook or whet your appetite by watching the video below!

Disclosure: In order to facilitate this review, I was provided with product at no cost.  All opinions expressed are my own.

  7. My hubs says I drink "girly" wine, because I don't like the heavy red stuff. I usually only drink Riesling or Moscato - Chardonnay of I have no other choice. Wish I could bring some to the dorm, but don't think I could get through airport security! :-)

  8. This is the first "official" review I have ever done, but, if it means wine (and, soon, chocolate) I might have to do more! :-)
