Old School Blogging with Elaine from Miss Elaine-ous Life is back for November! This month, Brittany from That’s Vandy, is co-hosting with Elaine. These questions were originally circulated in May 2008. It is always fun to get to know other bloggers a little better, so I'm sharing , my answers, too, and hope you enjoy getting to know me a little better! :-)
Where is your cell phone? On the kitchen counter, charging

Your significant other? Is my best friend
Your hair? Is in a ponytail, falling in my eyes, and need to be washed
Your mother? Is one of my best friends, too. She is wonderful, and wise, and I'm lucky to have her!
Your father? Is smart and loving. He believes so strongly in the importance of family and has taught me many great life lessons.
Your favorite thing? Can I say my family?? They aren't exactly things - but I cannot imagine life without them.
Your dream last night? I rarely have dreams I remember and didn't last night. (Last one I remember was dreaming that I was back in high school and Adam Levine was teaching my math class!)
Your favorite drink? I would love a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha right now. I might even splurge and get the full fat version!
Your dream/goal? To "make it" as a writer and actually get paid for doing what I love. I would also like to do A LOT more traveling!
The room you are in? The dining room, which has become my office for the time being. (We are getting ready to convert our guest bedroom into an office for my hubby and, then, I will take over the small room he is currently using as an office - just waiting for the desk he ordered to arrive next week!)
Your fear? Water, heights, and losing someone I love
Where do you want to be in six years? Right here with my family. My girls will be 17, 15, and 12 by then. Yikes!
Where were you last night? At home. Put the kids to bed, spent time hanging on the couch with my hubby, then went to bed about 10:00pm.

Adam Levine would make a fabulous math teacher! I had to laugh out loud. I want a peppermint mocha too. I actually get the Peppermint White Mocha, because the non-white version is too rich for me. Oh, someone come and take me away to Starbucks! And watch my kids! And do the dishes!
Totally watch HGTV and TLC all the time, plus Food Network. I swear this is all my TV is turned to most nights!! :)
If I have the TV on, it's usually on HGTV. But that's dangerous, because then I usually get these grand ideas in my head that I can redo the whole entire house in one day. Needless to say, that usually ends in disaster!
He would certainly make Algebra more interesting, huh?? And the White Chocolate Peppermint is too die for. Wish we were close enough meet up and have one! :-)
Ha! I use to watch Food Network a lot, too, but haven't recently. If it's not HGTV or TLC, it's Big Bang Theory or Friends reruns!
Yeah - it scares me, too. I have some renovations I would like to do, but I have no eye for design. I would definitely need some serious HGTV help!
I am so jealous of your 2012 Odyssey. "The Bus" would be a MAJOR UPGRADE from my 2000 Odyssey that Lucy named "Old Granny". A kid in carpool told me Old Granny smelled gym socks. --Lisa
Ha! Before this one, we had a 2002 so I know how you feel! That's the problem with Hondas - they just keep going! :-)
Okay, I'm totally into this idea. I have a traveling husband as well… so I sort of have 2 menus: Dad home & Dad away. This is a perfect Dad away dinner idea for my daughter and me. (stopping in from LOBS)
So fun to learn about you .... I'm not a cryer either, ... and I dream of getting paid to do this someday, too...
I did a yikes adding 6 years to Christopher's age. We are on same computer. Mine is a 13inch. I have it hooked up to a monitor so I can see. The last time I got Christmas done early my husband was deployed. My mom was here for a visit and we went to put stuff on layaway at Kmart. I was so organized considering that he wasn't here.
I have been stressing about it for more than a week! I was going to start one day last week, then my hubby said he wanted me to wait until Cyber Monday! Grrrrr. .. .
Definitely a YIKES! As I said, I say every year that I will get my shopping done early and every year I get stressed out because I don't! One of these days. . . .
Girl!! I am embarrassed to say that I am a little behind in my reading of your blogs. Course I am a little behind in about everything these days. lol. Anyways, Thursday is always crock pot night b/c of swimming and I wasn't sure what I wanted to fix. I have potatoes already in the pantry and fixins in the fridge and we have leftover meat in the fridge but lacked sides. So needless to say I am soooooo grateful that you have just taken the guesswork out of dinner tonight. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
