Because I enjoy words so much, I have always loved quotes. Some have resonated with me and I have remembered them for a very long time. Others have just "spoken" to me at different times in my life when I needed to hear a certain message of encouragement.
As you can imagine, I'm rather excited about this week's Tuesday Ten because we will all be sharing some of our favorite quotes. I am looking forward to reading the ones other share and I am happy to share some of my favorites with my readers, too.
It was extremely hard to narrow it to just 10, but here are some of my favorite quotes. I hope some of them will "speak" to you as well.
(If you want to see more quotes I like, because there are far more than 10, check out my Words Of Wisdom Pinterest board!)

Got to admit I have quite a few myself, but my favorite is still one my grandmother used to say all the time about too many cooks being in the kitchen. Something about that quote just makes me smile when I hear it and makes me feel a bit closer to her (if that makes sense).
Love these! I looked back to pick out my favorite one, but I don't know that I can. I do love both Dr. Seuss quotes. He was a wise man!
LOVE these sooo much Lisa!!! Those are just perfect! I am almost done with my post for the link up!! I (of course- geez) turned my quotes a bit into motherhood.... you'll see! YAY!
Yes - hard to pick a favorite here. They're all so excellent, Lisa. I love that there were a few in your list that I hadn't heard before. Love the one about a woman's dress and also the one about "what you do speaks so loudly." :)
The Dr. Seus quotes are great. It's funny how great the advice is coming from the same author of The Foot Book, lol.
Absolutely makes sense!
Got to love Dr. Seuss! I actually had a couple more from him, but decided I should probably limit it to 2 on this list!
I hadn't read that one before either, but found it when I was searching pinterest to make sure I got the wording right on some of these. With three daughters, it hits pretty close to home!
I loved your post & hope you got a big kick out of the quote I share din my comment for you!😜
I just recently found the dress one, but love it. I remember my mom saying something similar to the other one when I was younger. I guess she got through to me! :-)
Yep! He's an unlikely source, but shares one great wisdom! :-)
I so wanted to pick a favorite, but each of them have sprung up in my life at some point and have hit the nail on the HEAD!!!!! Love Maya Angelou and of course roots and wings as I see my oldest off to college next year!!!!! Brilliant!
I like Einstein's the best. Everybody is a genius in their own way; what a great way to look at the world. Thanks for the words of inspiration, Lisa!
I was saying "yes" out loud for the first four or five, which was funny because everyone is asleep here!
I think Dr. Seuss is my favorite. The first one.
Oh these are some of my favorites!! Just like Tamara, I was agreeing with so many but yes, that first one is my favorite.
Yes, college is a big deal! I'm not there quite yet (my oldest is 12), but I will definitely remember that one then!
You're welcome! I think that has to be one of my favorites, too. I think of it every time I think about my girls and how different they are from each other.
Ha! Dr. Seuss was a wise, wise man!
Thanks, Tricia.
Trust me, it comes way to fast, I still don't believe that I am nearly there!!! Plus she is looking to go to the West Coast!!!!!! We live in the MidWest!
