10 Things on Every Blogger's Christmas List

Nine days. That's all. Nine days until Christmas. Have you finished your shopping? I haven't and I'm totally stressed about it. It's a crazy, busy week at work and I don't know when the rest of my shopping will get finished. It seems that, every year, there is more and more "stuff" out there yet, somehow, people get harder and harder to buy for. And, some people are nearly impossible to find gifts for.

As we all make our way through our holiday shopping lists and spend most of our hard earned dollars and brain cells trying to find just the right gifts for others, we thought it would be fun to turn the tables and hear all about what YOU/WE want this Christmas. I decided to help you out just in case, like my hubby, you have a beloved blogger on your list!

  1. Endless inspiration and vanquishing of any and all writer's block forever.
  2. A completely viral blog post (or 2 or 3!) that gets millions of views.
  3. Thousands upon thousands of social media followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,  Pinterest, and Google+.
  4. For all of those said followers to actually see our Facebook posts and tweets.
  5. Tons of supportive comments and shares on every blog post.
  6. Time. Uninterrupted time to work on new posts, guest posts, and anthology submissions.
  7. A "YES!" from editors on all of those aforementioned submissions.
  8. A degree in graphic design so we can quickly and easily make lovely, Pinnable graphics for each and every blog post.
  9. Money. Cold, hard cash to pay for promotion, blog conferences, and writing courses.
  10. A long weekend getaway with all of our closest blogging friends!!!!
A personal blogging wish is to have lots of bloggers join me for my ONE Word Blog Challenge in January!!! READ THIS for more information and to sign up!!!

Now, tell me - what's on YOUR Christmas list this year?

Definitely would love the viral blog post not going to lie, but maybe someday. Great list and I hope all come true for you 😉

We are so glad you linkup up with us! It has grown a lot over the year, but I want it to be HUGE! Should've added that to my list, too! :-)

Thanks, Janine! I hope they all come true for all of my favorite bloggers!

Yes!!! Especially #10. I want that one most!
And cold, hard cash.
I can't believe Christmas is nine days away. I'm pretty much done but I'd love to finish Cassidy's stocking. I'm getting him some fresh stuff so I have to wait so nothing goes bad!

#4! Exactly!! This is a great list. I love what you did with the topic! I haven't finished my shopping yet, but the kids are all I have left. I just need an afternoon to hit Target by myself and I think I can knock it out!

I'll take one of everything, please. Although if I had a post go viral with a million views, my site would crash and I would completely stress out. Maybe half a million views.

I just signed up for a writing class using the money I got from two BlogHer twitter campaigns. I was so proud of myself for using money I earned!

Oy! I am so stressed that Christmas is nine days away! I'm trying to wait as long as I can to get David's gift, just because he looks at our bank account every day and it is impossible to hide any purchases from him! :-)

Right?? All I have left is 7 nieces & nephews and my in-laws. It sounds like a lot, but it's really not because I'll probably get all the nieces the same gift, etc. I just cannot figure out what to get them this year. The older they get the harder the gift giving is. I'm trying not to resort to gift cards, but that's probably hat I'll end up getting!

That's awesome! I have yet to make any money from blogging except what we've made from MOAM. You're probably right about a viral post being stressful. I'm sure it would stress me out completely, too, but it would still be awesome!

Yup. Sadly, even when getting a kazillion shares, they go away which is even more depressing for me. Because yeah, that means I can't keep them. Gah.

Yup. Except can I just say... the viral stuff? It doesn't really last which is uber depressing and sad and well weep. But yes.

I love this!!! Yes I want it ALLLL!

That's true - you can have a viral post, but then you have to somehow maintain that momentum.

Lisa @ The Golden Spoons said...

Yeah. I've tried to let go of the numbers as much s possible and I have learned that going viral is usually a lot more about luck or timing that it is about the actual writing. Still - jus to be able to say I have one would be nice.
